“cockroaches” and “parasites” to describe people sneaking into noble professions using forged credentials.
However, many on social media interpreted the phrase as a swipe targeting unemployed youth, RTI activists, and digital critics.In response, digital activist Abhijeet Dipke launched the “Cockroach Janta Party” on X (formerly Twitter) under the handle and launched an official website (cockroachjantaparty.org). Branding itself as the “voice of the lazy & unemployed,” the movement quickly morphed from a meme into a viral digital phenomenon. It amassed over 25,000 digital members within its first 48 hours.
