At the launch of the NCAER-Microfinance Industry Network (MFIN) Report, a panel discussion on “𝘙𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘔𝘪𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘌𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘺: 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴 & 𝘗𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘗𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘴” brought together leading voices from the industry.

Tomorrow, Microfinance Industry Network (MFIN) unveils the NCAER - MFIN Report: '𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚', which presents an evidence-based assessment of the role and impact of small-ticket credit, including its contribution to financial awareness among customers, cost and usage of microfinance, borrower experience and perceptions, the extent of digital adoption, and its role in advancing financial inclusion in India.

Organization in collaboration with Microfinance Industry Network (MFIN) held an 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐧 hashtag #𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 for 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘵 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘴 (𝘓𝘋𝘔𝘴) on 7 March 2026.

The objective was to:
✅ Equip LDMs with a concise overview of the microfinance ecosystem
✅ Familiarise them with the hashtag framework governing MFIs
✅ Share operational practices that drive impact at the field level

Sheetal Jain, VP-SRO, MFIN, delivered a presentation covering the evolution of the sector, key beneficiaries, lending institutions, and the opportunities and challenges within the industry.
