Mobile Verificatio has been simplified by eMudhra.

Since the implementation of new verification guidelines, we have been putting constant efforts towards simplifying the process within the ambit of regulation. In the last 2-3 months, we have been meeting several partners across the country and understanding the practical implementation challenges. This has helped us in implementing all new processes in the best possible way; may it be the video verification, or the Aadhaar eKYC, or the application forms which have been appreciated for its self intuitiveness.

Mobile Verification Simplified:
We have been hearing the difficulty to reach eMudhra for completing Mobile Verification process. The seasonal peak volume would have made the ‘voice’ based mobile verification, a challenging task. Your views have reached the regulator. We would like to thank Office of CCA in amending the regulation, where applicant can now answer over SMS and complete the Mobile Verification.

How it works?
After eMudhra approves the physical application form, applicant can now complete the Mobile verification in following modes (from the mobile number mentioned in application form):

1. Voice : Call eMudhra mobile verification number and answer 2-3 questions to confirm the identity of the applicant.

2. Text : SMS to eMudhra Self-Service number in specific format and complete the verification.

(This is a Bangalore/Karnataka number, and normal SMS rates apply.)

Advantage of SMS based verification:
This is completely an automated process. Applicant can SMS anytime (24 X 7) and complete it successfully. The process is authentic and fool-proof. Up-on successful verification, the response SMS to applicant will also contain the challenge code, so that the applicant can download the certificate.
