🌏 Making a real difference for threatened birds across Asia and beyond 🐦

In 2025, the Oriental Bird Club supported 21 conservation projects across 9 countries, with funding of over £86,000 through turning commitment into concrete action for bird conservation.

💚 15 of these projects directly support 13 Globally Threatened or Near Threatened species, through vital research and on-the-ground conservation. Species benefiting from OBC support include some of Asia’s most imperilled birds, such as the , , Negros Bleeding-heart Dove, , and Sulu Hornbill, etc. OBC Conservation Fund is helping protect species across the full spectrum of conservation concern.

🔍 This year also includes a major follow-up project tackling shorebird hunting in northern Vietnam, addressing one of the most pressing threats along the East Asian–Australasian Flyway.
