While Any-one in Badrinath, Neelkanth is enough Adorable & irresistible not to miss your eye's attention, And Prominent peak in the Region too.
However putting it in perspective, What you are standing up against are following facts and Stats.

1.In terms of Geographical Topography when you are viewing it, you are standing at 3200 metres above sea level and Looking towards 3.5 kms (3500 metres) of Vertical wall just standing 5kms-9kms from your viewing point.
However it is not highest in Garhwal Himalaya but certainly one of the most Adorable peak.

2.Started from 1930s, It thwarted 7 attempts to summit it, At last in 60s its claimmed to be summited by non other then (Major Responsible figure for capturing of Siachin in 80s) Though with some doubt to observers due to bad weather prevailing during Summit push. However Undisputed 1st Summit was Attempted as late as 1974 by ITBP team.

3.Third Summit on Neelkanth and 1st on Western ridge route was done by British climber in year 2000. Same famed Martin Moran who lost his Life with team of 7members in deadly avalanche this year in Month of May-19 climbing in Nandadevi region.

4. Frank smythe Describe it as most Adorable peak of Garhwal HimalayaHimalaya. It's Frank Smyth who introduced Eric Shipton to Himalayan climbs, who inturn set the background for 1st Everest Climb by humanity, Even Edmund Hillary was also mentored and Introduced to Himalaya by Shipton..
