Since 2022, PHRS and Chaupal, with the support of Terre des Hommes-BMZ, have been implementing the Gender Nutrition project in Chhattisgarh. The initiative, titled "Gender Nutrition: Equal Access to Sufficient and Healthy Food Strengthens the Food Security of Women and Young Children," is being carried out across 100 villages in the Surguja district.

A meeting was organised on 20th of March 2025 at Ambikapur Chattisgarh to share the key achievements and lesson learnt. This also gave a platform to the community members to express their views and demands.

The meeting was attended by Shri. Vinay kumar Agrawal, CEO Zilla panchayat, Shri. Abhishek Jha , Assistant Director, Agriculture department and Shri. Girish Gupta, District Project Officer, Education Department.

Kuni Mandangi, caregiver of our creche at Tumbiguda,Rayagada, and Gopal Kulesika, Sarpanch of Kumbhikota Gram Panchayat, Rayagada, Odisha were declared Childcare Champions at the recently held Childcare Champions Award at New Delhi. They have been associated with our creche progrmme in Odisha since its inception in 2017-18.
