ANULOM VILOM Pranayama can change lives

METHOD:

1. Find a Comfortable Position: Sit comfortably in a cross-legged position or on a chair with your spine straight.

2. Relaxation: Close your eyes gently and relax your body, shoulders, and face muscles.

3. Nasal Cleansing: Use a tissue or blow your nose to ensure your nasal passages are clear.  

4. Hand Position: Place your left hand on your left knee. Use your right hand's thumb to close your right nostril and your ring finger or little finger to close your left nostril.

5. Inhalation: Close your right nostril with your thumb and inhale slowly and deeply through your left nostril. Fill your lungs completely with air.

6. Retention: After inhaling, close both nostrils (using your thumb and finger) and hold your breath for a brief moment.

7. Exhalation: Release your right nostril and exhale slowly and completely. Ensure that the exhalation is longer than the inhalation. 

8. Switch Sides: Inhale slowly through your right nostril while keeping your left nostril closed.

9. Retention: Close both nostrils again and hold your breath momentarily.

10. Exhalation: Release your left nostril and exhale slowly and completely.

11. Repeat: Continue this alternating pattern, inhaling through one nostril, holding the breath briefly, exhaling through the other nostril, and holding the breath briefly again. Aim for a smooth and rhythmic flow of breath. 

12. End: After completing several rounds, release both nostrils and breathe normally for a few moments. Then gently open your eyes.

Practice Anulom Vilom for about 5-10 minutes initially, gradually increasing the duration as you become more comfortable with the technique.
