It is time to write down those New year resolutions,
To look forward to new beginnings,
A time to keep the past under lock and key, as we take a step to the next journey around the sun.

2020 came with struggles and triumphs, and 2021 will have its own.
What we truly wish is to see you soon, to make a few more memories.

Happy new year, from our IndeBo family!

Today as we celebrate Independence day of our great nation, we remember the fighters who gave up their lives for our freedom.

The year 1947 was marked as a historical event. The day India was free, the day our flag was hoisted high, and the day we embraced each other with joy.

74 years later, this over-joyous feeling has not ceased to exist. We fill the air with patriotic songs, and feed each other sweets, for today is a day of celebration, remembrance and a vision for a better tomorrow.

IndeBo wishes you a very Happy Independence Day!

The 10th day of the 12th month of the Islamic calendar is celebrated as Eid-Ul-Adha the “feast of the sacrifice”.

On this day we honour the willingness of prophet Abraham, who is also known as Ibrahim, to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God’s command.

As the story goes, before Abraham carried out the heartbreaking act, God produced a lamb for him to sacrifice instead - an act known as “Qurbani”, and a third is given to the poor.

As stories and significance goes, this ties into the old Testament which is a common thread of the Semitic religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

The Indian subcontinent is home to all of these religions, and several monuments have Indo Saracenic origins.

One of the earliest that remains intact is the Qutub Minar in Delhi which was built at the end of the 11th century.

The other is the Taj Mahal built in the 17th century, and the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri which was built in the 16th century. All these are well worth a visit - but only when things are safe.

Till then we wish you and your family a happy “Eid Mubarak".
