Supporting the vulnerable families in Assam with micro grants to find livelihood avenues is an important area of work of DAJI.

In the last one year DAJI has supported more than twenty such families to find livelihoods to establish small shops, weaving fish nets, goat rearing, renting water pumps etc.

Poverty and gender inequality in Assam are widespread. Families whose citizenship is challenged are further at risk of sliding deeper into poverty. Not a good sign for the state to achieve development goals.
