A Theatre Evening to Remember at NCUI Auditorium, New Delhi

“Jis Lahore Nahi Dekhya O Jamyai Nahi”

Written by: Asghar Wajahat
Directed by: Anil Sharma
Venue: NCUI Auditorium, New Delhi

What an unforgettable evening of theatre!
With a powerful intimate set that pulled the audience straight into the heart of the story, the play unfolded with raw emotion, layered performances, and soul-stirring moments.

Each actor delivered an outstanding performance, bringing depth, sensitivity, and truth to Asghar Wajahat’s timeless writing. The direction by Anil Sharma ensured a fine balance of intensity and silence—allowing the pain, irony, and humanity of the narrative to breathe on stage.

The audience sat spellbound as history, memory, and personal loss merged into a deeply moving theatrical experience. This was not just a play—it was a reminder of why theatre matters.

👏 A standing ovation to the entire team for creating magic on stage.

Jis Lahore Nahi Dekhya O Jamyai Nahi truly left an imprint on every heart present in the auditorium.

🎭 THEATRE IS NOT MADE OF GRAND SETS… IT’S MADE OF TRUTH.

Theatre isn’t born from huge sets, fancy lights, or heavy production.
Real theatre lives — even with minimal resources — through emotion, message, and powerful performance.

The philosophy from which this art form originally emerged is often called “Minimalist Theatre” —

a form where the actor becomes the centre, the soul, and the storyteller.

Mitr Rangmanch proudly follows the same artistic path.

Because theatre belongs to the actor,
while films belong to the director.
And that is why we move forward through the honesty, presence, and energy of our performers.

Here are a few moments from today’s skit…
Simplicity speaking louder than spectacle.
