Why Putin thinks putting pressure on Narendra Modi is detrimental?

The entire world is facing a major health challenge called Antimicrobial Resistance. In simple words, many bacteria are becoming resistant to existing antibiotics. This makes infections harder to treat. India is one of the countries most affected by this problem.

But now, India has achieved something even bigger to help solve this problem.

A new antibiotic developed by an Indian company, called Zaynich, has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration.

It is important to embrace it because the US Food and Drug Administration is one of the toughest drug regulators in the world.

India is often called the "Pharmacy of the World.” For decades, India was known mainly for producing affordable generic medicines. But this time, Zaynich changes that story.

It produces not a generic sample of an existing drug but a new antibiotic, developed through Indian research and innovation. The approval comes at a time when the world needs it the most.

It was developed keeping some of these resistance challenges in mind. Experts say, this approval sends a strong message of Atma-nirbhar Bharat. Indian companies are no longer just manufacturing medicines. They are also creating new ones.

From being the world's pharmacy, India is now moving towards becoming a global centre for pharmaceutical innovation. And that is a big milestone for Indian science.
