Born at just 30 weeks, this little warrior came to us with advanced Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), a potentially blinding eye condition that affects premature babies. ROP occurs when the retinal blood vessels develop abnormally after preterm birth. If not detected and treated in time, it can lead to permanent vision loss.
After careful evaluation, we performed laser treatment to halt the progression of the disease. Today, this baby is doing well, with healthy vision and a bright future ahead. 💙
This case is a powerful reminder that timely ROP screening is essential for every premature baby. Early detection and treatment can save sight and change lives.
