PALS

We are announcing offline weekend internship from 10th December. It will be 4 (Saturday and sunday) weekends that is 8 days in a month.

Internship program will have observership and supervision under the guidance of Dr Vijay Pathak (Psychiatrist)
and Ms. Deepali Batra (Clinical Psychologist)

The internship program will cover the following:

1. Case history and MSE
2. Assessments and interventions

3. Role plays and case discussions

4. Presentations

5. Counseling skills

According to the American Psychological Association, perfectionism is defined as “the tendency to demand from others or ourselves a very high or perfect level of performance above and beyond what the situation calls for.”¹

In other words, consider personality Characteristics, No mental disorders. Though in certain people OCD is also a cause of “perfect tasks”.

The energy behind perfectionism comes primarily from the desire to avoid making mistakes. Before an important exam, an important deadline, or a business meeting, perfectionists see every opportunity as an opportunity to fail above all else. Fear of failure is a function of their exaggerated standards and desire to do things well. They fear that if they don't do it perfectly, they will reveal their inner weaknesses and vulnerabilities. Therefore, people with high levels of perfectionism generally experience more stress in their daily lives. This stress can lead to other mental and physical health problems.
