Gangster dramas usually follow a familiar template since the 1990s – a common man wronged, picks up arms, seeks revenge… is no different, yet director crafts a compelling tale packed with several high-voltage dramatic moments.

The problem lies in the post-interval portions – they drag, get exhausting at times, and the climax feels overlong.

Two aspects stand out distinctly – the brutal action sequences, some of which aren't for the faint-hearted, and the hard-hitting dialogues, which are a major plus.
