The inaugural session of A Guided Tour of the Universe (Virtual) by Dr. Ravi Sinha (Physicist, Scientist & Author) was truly enlightening and inspiring.
Organised under the banner of the Neighbourhood Science Initiative (NScI), the event saw an enthusiastic participation of around 90 attendees, including nearly 20 curious children aged 10–12.
The presentation and discussion continued for more than two and a half hours, covering the structure of the universe, its immense scale, ongoing scientific discoveries, the role of modern telescopes, and key scientific contributions — all explained in a simple, accessible manner.
What stood out was the genuine curiosity shown by both children and adults alike.

A special mention to the Umang Library members for their active support in making this programme a success.

This lecture series marks only the beginning — we look forward to many more meaningful scientific conversations that bring the community together.

उमंग लाइब्रेरी ने शनिवार 8 नवंबर 2025 को ’सवाल पूछो’कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया इसमें विषय था ’ क्या बच्चों को ना कहना हमेशा गलत होता है ’प्रोफेसर ताराशंकर ने इस विषय पर अपने विचार रखे । सदस्यों ने उनसे सवाल जवाब किया । वरिष्ठ साथी सुश्री अंजली सिंहा ने कार्यक्रम का सार संकलन किया ।इस कार्यक्रम के कुछ अंश और कुछ फोटोग्राफ्स।

Umang Library hosted a Kavi Sammelan on 22nd February. It was a wonderful gathering that brought warmth and a sense of connection. Poets shared their heartfelt verses, creating an atmosphere filled with emotions, reflections, and joy.
