EFRAH promotes collective action as a powerful pathway to womenโs empowerment. The collective Self-Help Group model fosters collaboration, mutual support, and shared responsibility within the community. Regular meetings strengthen trust, leadership, and participatory decision-making while encouraging consistent savings and financial discipline.
These groups create a safe and supportive space where members can openly discuss health, education, hygiene, and community well-being, and work together to address everyday challenges. The platform also serves as an effective medium for spreading awareness about government social security schemes, legal rights and grievance redressal mechanisms such as the Right to Information (RTI), Right to Education (RTE), and the Public Grievance Monitoring System (PGMS), and access to public services, thereby strengthening community participation and sustainable empowerment.
