Laundry & Fabric Care Appliances Now Covered Under BIS Certification Requirements

Under the Electrical Appliances QCO 2026, BIS certification will be mandatory for several laundry and fabric care products, including spin extractors, tumbler dryers, clothes dryers, towel rails, fabric steamers, and electric heating tools used in garment care applications.

These appliances are required to comply with IS 302 (Part 1) and obtain a BIS licence under Scheme-I
