On the Occasion of World Optometry Day (23/03/2023),
As per the organising members of OSA(𝐉𝐞𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐊𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐥, 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐯𝐥𝐚𝐥 𝐊𝐡𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐚, 𝐃𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐮𝐣) ,The Optometry Staff and Optometry Scientists were felicitated by Hon. AIIMS Director 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐌. 𝐒𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐬, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟.𝐉.𝐒 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐥, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐩𝐚𝐥, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐛𝐢𝐫 𝐊𝐚𝐮𝐫, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐲𝐚𝐩, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐫𝐭𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚 ,𝐃𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐡, 𝐃𝐫 𝐃𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐣 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐲𝐚 and other faculty in the evening by the Optometry Students' Association.
Optometry is not just about prescribing glasses and contact lens it is about improving the quality of life for millions of people. Optometrists are at the forefront of diagnosing and treating eye conditions that can have a significant impact on a person's health and well-being. By providing preventative care, Optometrists can help to ensure that people maintain healthy eyesight throughout their lives.
As said by Jeevesh Kutiyal & Shivlal khudia (respectively President & General Secretary, Optometry Students'Association), on this special day, we also recognize the hard work and dedication of all the Optometrists, Researchers, and Educators who have contributed to the advancement of this field. They have not only transformed the lives of individual patients but have also improved public health on a global scale.

Starting from November 1999, OSA has also become 20 years old now. Many students and Optometrists have given their sweat and blood for the establishment of the association and to make it what it is today. We and the upcoming generations, will always be obliged to all the Ex OSA members for their unsung contributions for the betterment of Optometry education. May this process of upliftment continue as long as the sun rises.
