OUR MEMORIES AND MY NEW LIFE (1)

“I renovated my 45-year-old house, was designed by my late husband. I wanted to add something of my own to the house. To continue spending time with my husband (who has already passed away). I took the photos of the current situation, but also they evoke memories.” (Female, 66 yrs, Japan)

Photographs have the unique capacity to transcend time; they not only preserve fleeting moments but also convey deeper narratives of love, commitment and partnership. Sharing this visual representation for a photography project for older adults initiated by Dr. Sumita Chauhan, “Today Matters – One Click at a Time”, this participant offered a glimpse of their personal space very special for them.
