The Ministry of Textiles has issued the Ropes and Cordages (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2026, effective from 5 June 2026.

Key Relief for Manufacturers:
Goods covered under Serial No. 7 of the Schedule and manufactured using recycled plastic waste have been granted a 12-month exemption from the provisions of the Quality Control Order.

This amendment provides additional time for manufacturers to align their production processes and compliance requirements.
