Anode Acoustics - India.

Lately I have been busy working on a new version of our original Anode Acoustics HP amplifier #4 which was launched several years ago around 2019-2020.

(After that I have been building many higher end version of this amplifier in a bigger chassis with all the bells and whistles. It is a quite successful amplifier indeed which is liked by the users and i still make it.)

Well this new version of the original #4 is called the AA HP amplifier #4- 2026. The original build from years ago is listed here:

The new 2026 amplifier is redesigned from the ground up but I have not dared to fiddle too much with its original sound signature because the original circuit has been very popular with the users for the last 5-6 years.

For the 2026 version I designed new circuit boards, used newer components and a new custom chassis was built for it.

This is the smallest and simplest amplifier from Anode Acoustics but it sounds nice and is pretty capable of driving various headphones including most planars.

The idea behind this amplifier was to create something compact, nice sounding, cost effective and rugged that can drive a wide variety of headphones. It is something which would sit on your desk for years without any fuss while faithfully doing its job everyday and without drawing much attention..... and all the while playing enjoyable music through your headphones.

Let me tell you the features of this amplifier to show what it is and what it is not. :-)

- Built in linear power supply with regulated rails. Single transformer and power supply for both channels. The power transformer resides inside its own enclosure within the chassis for reducing stray EMF.

- High quality electronic components are used. The output devices are medium power BJT transistors.

- Mild steel polymer coated chassis. Matte black finish.

- Alps Japan RK16 or Alpha Taiwan potentiometer.

- Good quality plastic volume k**b.

- Plastic TRS female connector for 6.3mm headphone pin.

- High quality and durable RCA connectors.

- Power output: Close to 1w.

- Dimensions: 210x155x70mm
- Weight: 1.7kg.

Last but not the least. The retail price of the unit remains unchanged at INR 22000
