वसन्त को ऋतुराज भी कहा जाता है।
वसंत ऋतु आते ही प्रकृति का कण-कण खिल उठता है। मानव तो क्या पशु-पक्षी तक उल्लास से भर जाते हैं। हर दिन नयी उमंग से सूर्योदय होता है और नयी चेतना प्रदान कर अगले दिन फिर आने का आश्वासन देकर चला जाता है। मन में विचारों की पारंगत होने लगती है।
वसन्त पञ्चमी को सरस्वती का दिन भी माना जाता है। वसंत पंचमी (माघ शुक्ल 5) का पर्व भारतीय जनजीवन को अनेक तरह से प्रभावित करता है। प्राचीनकाल से इसे ज्ञान और कला की देवी मां सरस्वती का जन्मदिवस माना जाता है। जो शिक्षाविद भारत और भारतीयता से प्रेम करते हैं, वे इस दिन मां शारदे की पूजा कर उनसे और अधिक ज्ञानवान होने की प्रार्थना करते हैं। जो महत्व सैनिकों के लिए अपने शस्त्रों और विजयादशमी का है, जो विद्वानों के लिए अपनी पुस्तकों और व्यास पूर्णिमा का है, सब दिन का प्रारम्भ अपने उपकरणों की पूजा और मां सरस्वती की वंदना से करते हैं। पूरी धरती हरी भरी दिखती है और चारों तरफ फूल खिलने लगते है।
माता सरस्वती हम सब पे कृपा बनाए रखे और ज्ञान से अंधकार को दूर करने में मदद करे ।

Sarva Pitru Amavasya (24/25 September, 2022) also known as Mokshadayini Amavasya, is the day that we honor our ancestors and perform rituals. It is a time dedicated for all departed souls and is the most important day of Pitru Paksha.
It is an auspicious tithi to perform Shraddha and Tarpanam (water rituals to pay homage to ancestors). If you were unable to perform Shraddha on the Tithis throughout the year, if the death anniversaries are unknown, or you were unable to perform rituals for them correctly when they passed away, then performing on this day is enough.
