தன் பாவங்களை மறைக்கிறவன் வாழ்வடையமாட்டான்; அவைகளை அறிக்கை செய்து விட்டுவிடுகிறவனோ இரக்கம் பெறுவான். (நீதிமொழிகள் 28:13) He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. (Proverbs 28:13)

பிரம்பும் கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலும் ஞானத்தைக் கொடுக்கும்; தன் இஷ்டத்திற்கு விடப்பட்ட பிள்ளையோ தன் தாய்க்கு வெட்கத்தை உண்டுபண்ணுகிறான்.(நீதிமொழிகள் 29:15) The rod and rebuke give wisdom, But a child left to himself brings shame to his mother. (Proverbs 29:15)

கர்த்தாவே, நீர் நீதிமானை ஆசீர்வதித்து, காருணியம் என்னுங் கேடகத்தினால் அவனைச் சூழ்ந்துகொள்ளுவீர். (சங்கீதம் 5:12) For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield. (Psalm 5:12)
