From Learning to Teaching Together

Three inseparable alumnae from Isha Vidhya Tuticorin studied in the same class and bonded over their earnest desire to make the most of their sponsored education. They supported and motivated one another throughout school before going their separate ways to pursue their academic dreams.

They have now come full circle and are back together as teachers at their alma mater, brimming with a desire to contribute to the growth and development of future generations. Subesha is a Physical Education teacher, Nandhini is a Kindergarten teacher, and Bhuvaneswari teaches in the Atal Tinkering Lab.

Deepika thrived at Isha Vidhya and graduated with a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Kongu Engineering College. She now works as a Project Engineer at Honeywell Automation India Ltd, cherishing the financial independence she has achieved after a sponsored school education.

Becoming Empowered

In an online Get Mentored session, Ashweetha — a policy expert and grassroots-level leader in rural Tamil Nadu — chronicled her metamorphosis from a rural girl to a global woman. She encouraged students to stay aware of their surroundings, ask questions, and voice their views fearlessly.

Saisri, a Class 12 student at Isha Vidhya Erode, shared that for an introvert like her, the session gave her the impetus to step out of her comfort zone.
