SREC Alumni Association

The 15th year reunion of the Class of 2006-2010 was a heartwarming event held on December 20, 2025. Around 150+ alumni, accompanied by their families, returned to campus to relive cherished memories and reconnect with former classmates and faculty. Alumni from the batch, across the globe, joined through video conferencing. Ms.Vyshnavee, an alumna from 2010/CSE, welcomed all his batchmates.
Dr.A.Soundarrajan, Principal and Patron, greeted all the alumni and released the SREC Alumni Association magazine, "Spotlight" Issue-24. He expressed pride in the alumni holding positions in various organizations, commended their valuable contributions to the growth of their alma mater, and highlighted the vital role of the association’s programmes and services in shaping its future. Shri.S.Narendran, Joint Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust, addressed the gathering. Ms. Veena Ramesh, President of the SREC Alumni Association, updated the alumni on chapter activities and the contributions made by the alumni toward the growth of the institution.
The alumni honored their faculty as a token of gratitude. The twelfth batch of SREC, the Class of 2005-2009, instituted an endowment of Rs. 3 lakhs toward the alumni activities of the institution.
Mr.C.V.Ramkumar, CEO of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, Ms. Veena Ramesh, President of SREC AA; Dr. N. Senthil Kannan, Secretary of SREC AA; Dr. P. Perumal, Treasurer of SREC AA; and representatives from various chapters graced the occasion. Mrs.G.Lavanya,AP/BME & Alumna of 2010/BME, proposed the vote of thanks. The event concluded with group photographs and a networking lunch.

Rising Alumni Nexus (RAN-2025)
On 13th September 2025, the SREC Alumni Association proudly hosted the Rising Alumni Nexus (RAN) 2025 at the college auditorium, warmly welcoming alumni from the 2016 to 2024 graduating batches. With an enthusiastic turnout of 150+ attendees, the event was a resounding success, fostering meaningful connections and celebrating the enduring spirit of SREC.
The program began with a heartfelt welcome address by Ms. Veena Ramesh, President of SREC Alumni Association, who highlighted the association’s recent activities. Dr.A.Soundarrajan, Principal and Patron also addressed the gathering, setting an inspiring and positive tone for the day. Shri R. Sundar, Managing Trustee of SNR Sons' Charitable Trust, expressed his delight at the reunion and acknowledged the alumni’s remarkable achievements.
A key moment of the event was the Chief Guest address delivered by Mrs. Kovai Santhamani, a motivational speaker and Pattimandra Pechalar, who inspired the alumni with her valuable insights and encouragement.
The Rising Alumni Excellence Award was presented to Mr. Lakshman Sundaram (2014-2018, Mechanical) and Mr. Gowtham Raj Veeraswamy Premkumar (2018-2022, ECE), recognizing their exceptional achievements.
The event concluded with a vibrant networking lunch, providing alumni with a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and share their experiences.
