பொருள்:

கடம்பா போற்றி = கடம்ப மலர் மாலையைத் தரித்தவனே, உன்னை வணங்குகிறேன்!

கந்தா போற்றி = கந்தக் கடவுளே, உன்னை வணங்குகிறேன்!

வெட்சி = வெட்சி மலரால் செய்யப்பட்ட மாலையை

புனையும் = அணிந்து கொள்கின்ற

வேலே = கந்தவேலே!

போற்றி = உன்னை வணங்குகிறேன்!

உயர் = உயர்ந்து விளங்கும்

கிரி = கந்தகிரியில் இருக்கும்

கனகம் = பொன்னால் ஆன

சபைக்கு = சபா மண்டபத்துக்கு

ஓர் = ஒப்பற்ற

அரசே = நாயகனே

மயில் = மயில் வாகனத்தில் வந்து

நடம் இடுவோய் = நடனம் புரிபவனே

மலர் அடி = உனது தாமரை மலர் போன்ற திருவடிகள்

சரணம் = எனக்குத் தஞ்சமாம்1

சரவண பவ ஓம் = 'சரவண பவ ஓம்' என்னும் மந்திரத்தின் பொருளே!

சூரபத் மாவைத் துணித்தகை யதனால்
இருபத் தேழ்வர்க் குவந்தமு தளித்த

பொருள்:

அறிந்து = மெய்ம்மையை உணார்ந்து தெளிந்த

எனது உள்ளம் = என்னுடைய மனம்

அஷ்டலட்சுமிகளில் = எட்டுவகை இலக்குமிகளில்

வீரலட்சுமிக்கு = வெற்றியைத் தரும் வீர லட்சுமிக்கு

விருந்து = புதுமையான

உணவாக = உணவாகும்படி (வீர லட்சுமி என் மனத்தில் வீற்றிருந்து அருள்பாலிக்குமாறு)

சூர பத்மாவை = சூர பத்மனை

துணித்த = வதைத்த

கை அதனால் = திருக்கையால்

இருபத்து ஏழ்வர்க்கு = இருபத்தேழு பேர்க்கு

உவந்து = மகிழுமாறு

அமுது அளித்த = தேவாமிருதத்தை வழங்கி அருள் செய்த குருபரா!
