Educate your Children about Traffic Rules and On Road Behavior, when they are of around 10 years old. The awareness about Road Safety is very important right from this age, as they commute by their bicycles or by public transport.

Do not allow them to Ride/Drive vehicles before their legal driving age and unless they are trained properly in Riding/Driving. Let them get their Driving License (DL) by following the process which involves proper learning of Traffic Rules. Do not appoint agents for getting DL.

Is your vehicle insured? And you?

In case of any accident, if you want to claim the insurance, firstly, as soon as you buy a vehicle, you need to buy one of the vehicle insurances like Third Party Insurance, Liability Insurance, Collision Coverage, Comprehensive Coverage, Personal Injury Protection, Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Protection, etc. Usually the automobile companies/dealers do that for you for the first year.

Secondly, you need to keep renewing the insurance every year.

Thirdly, you need to maintain and keep all the documents related to your vehicle like Smart Card (RC Book), PUCC, Insurance Papers, etc. and documents related to you like DL with you all the time.
