Yesterday, our Director Shafiul Hassan visited the field to witness the ongoing efforts under the livelihood project. He spent time with the community, listened to their experiences, and gathered valuable feedback and suggestions. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do to stay rooted, learn from the ground, and grow together.

As part of the NoDe Peer learning II Assessment, today we had the privilege of hosting Neha Saikia and Birkhang Basumatary. The visit focused on reflecting on our growth journey so far and exploring future scopes of work. This ongoing Peer Learning Assessment continues to strengthen our learning and organizational practices.

Institute Training 2025 | AMAN Teaching Fellowship
After the Assessment Centre, our fellows spent two weeks learning, reflecting, and practicing. They prepared to enter classrooms with confidence and purpose.
Week 1 Highlights:
• Orientation to AMAN Foundation’s mission and vision
• Life Map and SWOT (Self & Community) with field immersion in Barpeta’s riverine areas
• Workshops on empathy, communication, and stakeholder mapping
• SEL, joyful learning, and classroom management
• Lesson planning, teaching methods, and baseline assessments
• POSH, CPP, and preparation for Summer School
• Reading Fluency (Phonics: sounds, blending, segmenting)
Week 2 Highlights:
• Phonics: Practice teaching and checking for understanding
• Mathematics: Number sense, CPA approach, and assessment integration
• Reading Comprehension: Strategies, storytelling, and questioning with India and Me
• Institute Showcase: Inspiring presentations from peers and school placements
This enriching journey was led by Neha Gujar, Heena Khanna, and Kaurabi Patra. Their guidance made the institute training meaningful.
