One in six smartphone users victim of cyberattack: Study - The Times of India Many smartphone and tablet devices users have no protection against 'malware', software designed specifically to damage or disrupt a system.

The nation's third largest mobile operator Idea Cellular has launched two 3G-enabled smartphones priced at Rs 4,999 and Rs 6,250. These smartphones are based on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) operating system and are targetted at young students, professionals and first-time smartphone users.

In a bid to foster growth of mobile internet in country, the company said all new buyers of its 3G smartphones will get 16GB of 3G data worth Rs 3,200 for a recharge of Rs 261.
As per the offer, after the recharge, Idea users will get to use 4GB 3G data every month for the next four months and the customers will also get free subscription of Idea TV for four months.

"This is the first such offer by any operator or device brand in India offering huge data benefits bundled with 3G smartphones," Idea said in a statement.
