Excited to share that MSEC's First VLSI Chip is an 8-bit SPI Microcoded CPU, successfully designed and submitted for fabrication using 180nm GlobalFoundries technology.

Developed through a complete semiconductor design flow, the chip features a RISC-style architecture with 16 instructions, 4096 bytes of SPI RAM interface, instruction decoding logic, register architecture, and SPI communication protocols.

From designing circuits in classrooms to fabricating silicon chips for the real world, MSEC is shaping the next generation of semiconductor innovators and technology leaders.
