The Black Kite is one of the most common birds of prey and is often seen gracefully soaring over cities, villages, and open landscapes. Known for its sharp eyesight, it can spot food from great heights while gliding effortlessly in the sky. Unlike many other raptors, Black Kites are also skilled scavengers, helping keep the environment clean by feeding on carrion and waste. They are remarkable fliers, using warm air currents called thermals to stay airborne for long periods with very little effort. 🦅

Common Kingfishers can dive straight into water at lightning speed, hitting the surface at nearly 40 km/h to catch fish.
• Their eyes are specially adapted to see clearly underwater, even with light refraction.
