At Oregon State University and the University of Oregon, Carrie earned a bachelor’s degree in art education. Her career path has included graphic art, interior design, floral design, event design, and landscape design. Carrie served for years as a board member and officer of Oregon Trout, now called The Freshwater Trust. Like a garden, her book brings together nature, history, and art.
