đ The story behind GNOSIS (Little Dragon)
Every track carries a story.
GNOSIS (Little Dragon) was born during the Goa monsoon - late nights of rain outside, experimenting with distortion, rhythm, and texture inside. The song moved through many moods: lonely piano lines, heavy bass, chaotic beats, choirs that seem to both mourn and lift.
Last monsoon I could sense that major changes were on the way, as well as a necessary change of my own mindset. And here we are, a little over a year later - I'm in Singapore, heading back to Thailand shortly - probably not based in Goa so much anymore.
Releasing it this month in Singapore feels like coming full circle. This is the place where my music journey truly began, nurtured by my late mumâs creativity and encouragement. Without her, I wouldnât be an artist today. In a way, this track is a quiet homage to her - and to the idea of finding wisdom through lifeâs storms.
The title GNOSIS means âspiritual knowledge, awakening, transcendence.â The âLittle Dragonâ nods back to its earliest form in the studio - a humble, universe-exploring creature who learns as he travels. Both names belong to the track, because both belong to the journey.
Itâs a piece about learning through chaos, finding insight in solitude, and letting the small, persistent dragon within us grow wiser.

Experimental arts/tech/music... even after life & death
American composer Alvin Lucier was well-known for his experimental works that tested the boundaries of music and art.
A longtime professor at Wesleyan University (before retiring in 2011), Alvin passed away in 2021 at the age of 90. However, that wasnât the end of his lifelong musical odyssey.
Earlier this month, at the Art Gallery of Western Australia, a new art installation titled Revivification used Lucierâs âbrain matterââhooked up to an electrode mesh connected to twenty large brass platesâto create electrical signals that triggered a mallet to strike the varying plates, creating a kind of post-mortem musical piece.
Conceptualized in collaboration with Lucier himself before his death, the artists solicited the help of researchers from Harvard Medical School, who grew a mini-brain from Lucierâs white blood cells.
The team created stem cells from these white blood cells, and due to their pluripotency, the cells developed into cerebral organoids somewhat similar to developing human brains
