Battle of Lohgarh: Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji’s Fearless Stand Against Oppression
In those days, hunting was a privilege reserved only for kings and their relatives, with many forests exclusively set aside for them. Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji encouraged his Sikhs to hunt—not just for sport, but to become brave and fearless warriors.
One day, while hunting in a forest, the Sikhs captured a hawk belonging to the royal party. When the royals demanded its return, the Sikhs refused. Threatened by the Governor of Lahore with severe punishment, the Sikhs boldly declared they feared no one.
Furious, the Governor appointed Mukhlis Khan, commanding 7,000 soldiers, to attack the Sikhs. Forewarned, Guru Ji prepared his Sikhs for battle. The wedding of his daughter was postponed and shifted to safety while the fight commenced.
The first battle at Pipli Sahib forced the royal army to retreat. At the fort of Lohgarh, the Sikhs fiercely defended their position, using a stone cannon to shower the enemy with stones, causing confusion and heavy casualties.
Bhai Bhanu, the Sikh commander, engaged Shams Khan of the royal army in single combat, heroically defeating him but sacrificing his own life. Painde Khan and other Sikh warriors wreaked havoc among the royal ranks.
When Mukhlis Khan challenged Guru Ji himself, the two fought a fierce duel. Guru Ji skillfully avoided the initial blows and delivered a powerful strike that ended the battle, killing Mukhlis Khan.
This victory stood as a testament to the courage, unity, and unwavering spirit of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and his Sikhs, inspiring generations with their bravery and resilience.

From the streets of NYC to the runways of high fashion. 🚕✨

Meet 62-year-old Ajit Singh Bharth. For years, he navigated the busy streets of New York City as a cab driver. But a chance encounter in Midtown Manhattan changed everything.

Quinton Clemm, a talent scout for the luxury fashion brand Eidos, stepped into Ajit’s cab. Fresh off a trip to Rajasthan, Clemm was looking for authentic Indian representation for their upcoming collection. The moment he saw Ajit’s striking profile—his sharp glasses, flowing beard, and proudly worn turban—he knew he’d found his model.

What started as a regular taxi fare turned into a trial fitting, leading Ajit to become the face of Eidos' Spring/Summer campaign. The fashion world took notice, with international publications praising the raw, authentic elegance he brought to the brand.

A beautiful reminder that dignity, grace, and identity can shine anywhere—even in the front seat of a New York cab. 👑🙏
