The Tooth Guards

Here are some things. You might relate with and laugh on some!šŸ˜…
1. Constantly fighting with the belief that baby teeth are not important, ā€œeh te jhadd hi jane haiā€ ! To explain and bring parents out of this age old notion is important but at times it gets overwhelming to explain the same thing time and again.

2. Explaining sugar and oral hygiene habits to parents without sounding judgmental. My aim is never to shame but educate parents. And that can be done best when I get to know about these habits, and for that I sometimes have to ask too many questions keeping in mind that the parent understands its for their best rather than me being judging the way they are creating these habits in their kids. Trust me when I say that i will never judge you, I mean it!

3. Handling parents who refuse recommended treatment, rather I would say who insist me to do the treatment ā€œgoogle babaā€ recommended them. At times I even question my degree when it comes to taking a stand against google baba diagnosis!šŸ˜…

4. ā€œAntibiotics, paani nahi hote. Ki jb mrzi poori ki poori bottle bache ko pila diā€ I have lost count of how many times I must have used this statement! I feel it’s my duty to keep on spreading the awareness of misuse of antibiotics in dental field. But when I think shayad this is the last time I am saying the statement, I encounter yet another mother jo kal hi sari antibiotic bottle pila ke hati hai apne bache ko. It’s just lack of awareness which is making things tough!

5.Fighting the age old blame game ki dadi nani toffee de dete hai bache ko, hum to nai dete. Its Love against Logic here! I am sure here my words go in vain. Don’t know still how to take those toffees away.šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø
