Itinerary:
DAY 01: Kochi – Kochi
Arrive into Kochi and proceed to hotel check in , later proceed for sight seeing and overnight stay in hotel.
DAY 02: Kochi – Munnar
After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Munnar - a beautiful hill station was once the summer capital of the British Government in India. The never ending vast expanse of tea plantations and the round the year moderate climate makes it a haven for visitors. On arrival proceed to the hotel and check in. Overnight in Munnar.
DAY 03: Munnar
After breakfast, visit the Rajamala Wildlife Sanctuary – home to the highly endangered mountain goats - the Nilgiri Thars. En route visit Nyamakad – a land of breathtaking waterfalls that cascade down from a height of 1600 mtrs. Later return to Munnar and enjoy time at leisure. Overnight in Munnar.
DAY 04: Munnar – Thekkady (Periyar)
(Approx. 5 hours) After breakfast depart for Thekkady - India's largest wildlife reserve. Arrive into Thekkady and check into the hotel. In the afternoon visit the Periyar lake, around which the wildlife sanctuary is built. Here you can opt for a boat ride to view wild life at close quarters from the safety of a boat. Overnight in Thekkady.
DAY 05 : Thekkady – Kumarakom (Approx. 4 hrs )
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom. On the shores of the picturesque Vembanad lake - a freshwater lagoon – Kumarakom is a cluster of fishing villages.The regions specialities are Karimeen, considered the tastiest fish available in Kerala and fresh Toddy (local drink). Arrive into Kumarakom and check into the hotel. The rest of the day at leisure to explore the beautiful backwaters.Overnight in Kumarakom.
DAY 06 : Kumarakom - Alleppey – (Approx. 1 hrs )
After breakfast proceed to Alleppey an internationally renowned backwater destination. On arrival check into the houseboat. start Cruising through the Punnamada Lake, venue of the famous Nehru Trophy Boat Race. Enter the enchanting waters of the Vembanad Lake; enjoy the panoramic views and the glimpses of the life along the banks. High Points of the cruise are the visit to the 400 year old church and the viewing of Kerala Race Boat. The Snake Boat (110 Ft Long), SNDP canal, Kuppappuram, Vilakkumaram Thodu to reach jetty.
DAY 07: Alleppey – Ernakulam – DEPARTURE
Transfer to Cochin for onward journey.
