Brown bread looks healthy… but in reality, most “brown breads” in the market are nothing but white bread colored with caramel or molasses to look healthy. 😬

Here’s how to spot the fake ones 👇

🥖 1. Check the ingredients list — The first ingredient should be whole wheat flour (atta), not refined wheat flour (maida). If maida comes first, it means that’s the main ingredient.

🍞 2. Don’t trust the color! — The brown shade often comes from caramel coloring, not from real whole grains.

📜 3. Look for “100% Whole Wheat” on the label — Not just “wheat bread” or “multigrain.” These terms can still hide maida.

💡 4. Watch out for sugar & preservatives — Many packaged breads have high sugar or oil content to make them softer and last longer.
