The Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohammad Gulrez today inaugurated the newly constructed hall and a reading room in the Department of Arabic, which have been built in memory of the late Prof. Mohammad Rashid Nadvi, former Chairman of the department.

The Aligarh Muslim University today observed the death anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the founder of this University. A Quran Khwani (Quran recitation) session was organised in the University Jama Masjid after Zuhar prayer and the Vice Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor paid rich tributes to the founder by offering a floral chadar on his grave situated in the premises of the Masjid.
