University Drama Club 🎭 From Theatre Club to Laundiyabazi ka Adda 💀

Hum bachpan se CEC dekhte aaye hain, aur sach kahun to UDC ko is haal mein dekhna kaafi depressing bhi hai aur funny bhi.

Ye wahi UDC hai na jo CEC ki shaan hua karta tha? Jo har saal awards jeetta tha, zonal aur national level par naam kamata tha, SAUFEST 2019 mein India represent karta tha. Ye wahi club tha jiske seniors ko dekh kar log theatre join karte the. Talent tha, dedication tha, vision tha aur sabse important, kaam hota tha.

Ek time tha jab UDC literally har jagah nazar aata tha. Halls mein plays, faculty grounds mein performances, awareness nukkads, social campaigns, protests, festivals — har jagah UDC. Ek academic year mein 200+ shows karna aam baat thi. Theatre in logon ke liye attendance ya post ki politics nahi, passion tha.

Aur phir aaye naye yug ke mahan log.

Inhone socha hoga ki itni badi legacy sambhalna bahut mainstream kaam hai. Kuch hatke karte hain.

Result?

Aaj UDC ki sabse badi performance stage par nahi, apne downfall mein nazar aa rahi hai.

Jo club pehle shows ke liye dates manage nahi kar pata tha, aaj shows hi nahi hain manage karne ke liye. Jo club har event ka hissa hota tha, aaj khud apni presence ke liye struggle kar raha hai. Aur to aur, opening feast tak conduct na kar pana apne aap mein ek symbolic performance hai.

Sabse zyada dukh is baat ka nahi ki UDC gir gaya.

Dukh is baat ka hai ki jin logon ko ek legacy mili thi, unhone usse aage badhane ke bajay us par experiment kar diya.

Purane seniors ne saalon ki mehnat, paseena aur countless rehearsals dekar jis naam ko banaya tha, us naam ko maintain karne ki minimum responsibility bhi shayad bahut zyada lag gayi.

Ab sawaal ye hai ki zimmedar kaun hai?

Kya sirf secretaries?

Kya sirf seniors?

Kya sirf leadership?

Ya phir wo poori generation jo club chalane se zyada club ki politics chalane mein busy rahi?

Kyuki institutions ek din mein nahi girte. Unhe giraya jaata hai. Dheere dheere. Galat decisions se. Lack of vision se. Aur kabhi kabhi pure incompetence se.

Aaj haal ye hai ki log UDC ke future ke baare mein baat nahi karte. Log UDC ke past ko yaad karte hain.

Aur kisi bhi institution ke liye isse badi tragedy shayad koi nahi hoti.

Purana UDC actors banata tha.

Naya UDC excuses banata hai.

Purana UDC performances ke liye jaana jaata tha.

Naya UDC nostalgia ke liye.

Bas itna hi.

Kuch saal pehle log kehte the, “UDC mein selection ho gaya?”

Aaj log poochte hain, “UDC ab bhi exist karta hai?” 💀
