Lesser known facts:-
There is hardly any other fort in the world that might have seen as many kings and dynasties as the Agra fort(Not to mention the Kohinoor diamond was taken by Human from this fort only). Following is the list of some of the great kings who dwelled in this fort in the past.
Raja Badal Singh (Rajput dynasty)-Built the fort as Badalgarh,
Sikander Lodi(Lodi dynasty),
Ibrahim Lodi(Lodi dynasty),
Babur(Mughal dynasty),
Humayun(Mughal dynasty)-Took Kohinoor from the fort,
Sher Shah Suri (Suri dynasty),
Adil Shah Suri(Suri dynasty),
Akbar(Mughal dynasty)-Rebuilt the fort,
Shah Jahan(Mughal dynasty),
Aurungzeb(Mughal dynasty),
Ahmad Shah Abdali(Durrani empire),
Mahadji Shinde(Maratha empire)
