The Haifa Center for German & European Studies - HCGES is a joint project of the University of Haifa and the DAAD German Academic Exchange Service.

Katharina is a political scientist specialising in the intersection of German foreign policy and the MENA region. Her research offers a critical analysis of German Political Foundations (Stiftungen), examining them as unique, state-financed yet independent actors in international diplomacy. Beyond German-Israeli relations, Katharina explores broader themes of European Foreign Policy and Solidarity.
