Today marks one month since the earthquakes in Venezuela. More than 5,300 people have been confirmed killed, 23,000 forced from their homes, and tens of thousands are still missing.

Today — and every day — our thoughts are with affected communities in Venezuela, as they live through this emergency and begin the long recovery ahead.

For the past month, IsraAID's team has been working hand-in-hand with local partners to deliver what communities say they need most: safe water, sanitation and showers, hygiene supplies, child-friendly spaces, and mental health support for local frontline workers and search and rescue teams.

We will continue to stand with affected communities in Venezuela for as long as it takes.

In the aftermath of the earthquakes in Venezuela, a safe space for children to process their emotions is vital for recovery.

Our Child Friendly Spaces are now operating daily in two displacement camps hosting families affected by the disaster, providing children with a safe place to play, learn, and just be kids. Alongside structured activities that support emotional wellbeing, we've established dedicated handwashing and hydration points to help keep children safe and healthy.

As families continue navigating uncertainty, supporting children's wellbeing remains an essential part of our emergency focus.
