When it comes to donuts (just like other businesses) it's all about location, apparently. Dunkin'Donuts in Mönckebergstraße, , appears to be struggling to bounce back from the pandemic with the PlaceSense Index showing an almost 78% drop in foot traffic compared to last year. So what's Hamburg's most popular street? No prizes for guessing Mönckebergstrasse, which provides a mix of department stores, international chains, and an eclectic selection of independent boutiques.

But almost 25% of visitors only spend five minutes or less there, according to the Placense Index for Hamburg. However, with over 45% of visitors spending 30 minutes or more there, Mönckebergstrasse is not going to lose its place as Hamburg's traditional shopping area any time soon.
