Last month, Dror Israel and NOAL organized a medic training course for young educators and youth leaders from across the country, including several young leaders from branches in Druze communities, who chose to take on the responsibility of lifesaving care during a deeply difficult time.
Completing the course during months of war and instability required commitment, calm under pressure, and a deep sense of responsibility toward others.
As one participant shared: “I’m proud to be part of a family [like the youth movement] that educates toward values, responsibility, and saving lives.”
We are incredibly proud of all the new medics who stepped forward to learn to care for their communities.

A conversation between Mati from Holon and Elisha from Sderot at a Dror Israel gathering earlier this year led to something much bigger: a meaningful encounter between two senior community groups living very different realities over the past two years.
Together they shared stories, toured the Gaza border region, and built new connections rooted in mutual responsibility and care.
Across Dror Israel’s Senior Community Network, thousands of older adults are strengthening community resilience the same way - through relationships, initiative, and the decision to continue showing up for one another.

Mazal tov to Yaron Krimka, a 12th grade student at Dror Israel’s High School in Carmiel, who received the Ministry of Education’s Elad Riven Award for Active and Outstanding Youth Leadership.
Yaron was recognized for years of meaningful social involvement — from founding and leading a local NOAL youth movement branch, to volunteering with elderly residents, mentoring younger students, and mobilizing for civic initiatives since the outbreak of the war.
His award is not only a personal achievement. It reflects the kind of education we believe in: helping young people take responsibility, strengthen their communities, and actively shape the society around them.
We are so proud of you, Yaron 💙

Today, thousands of youth from HaNoar HaOved VeHaLomed (NOAL) take part in the “Bouquets for the Fallen” initiative, distributing flowers at no cost to bereaved families at 250 cemeteries across Israel. For 45 years, this has been a quiet but powerful expression of remembrance, connection, and responsibility. We stand alongside families in their most difficult moments and honor the lives of those who were lost.
For the young people who take part, this is not only about giving flowers. It is about learning the stories of the fallen, understanding the weight of loss carried by so many families, and choosing to show up with care and respect. Year after year, families arrive on this difficult day knowing that someone will be there to greet them, not just as ceremony, but as a genuine gesture.
