Sometimes, life is what happens while we’re busy making other plans.

This project has been here since around 2021.
The clothes were ready. The vision was there.
But life kept happening and this dream was quietly waiting.

Now, it’s time to finally step in, fully.
To turn a long-time passion into something real.

Very soon, you’ll find curated vintage pieces from all over the world here.
One-of-a-kind, timeless, and made to be worn again.

Coming soon.
Stay tuned 🤍

What was the last item of clothing you bought?

Why did you buy it?
Because you liked the colour?
The style?
Because it aligned with your values?
Because it looked cute on your favourite influencer?
Because it went viral on TikTok?
Because you were bored? Sad? Happy?
Because an advert suggested it?
What influences us to buy the things we buy? If we know the impact our clothing and purchasing decisions have on people and the planet, why do we still buy the high-waisted wide-leg jeans or the chequered tank top that goes viral on TikTok?
Aside from size accessibility and price, our fashion choices are heavily influenced by psychological factors that often go beyond purely practical considerations. Clothing serves as a means of self-expression and can convey important information about our identity, principles and beliefs. Furthermore, it can clarify our social status and give us a sense of belonging to a certain community.
Marketing tactics can also play an important role in influencing our purchasing decisions. Brands use persuasive marketing techniques, such as limited-time offers, influencer recommendations and social proof, to create a sense of urgency and encourage us to make impulsive purchases. In addition, fashion can have a powerful emotional and psychological impact on us. People often turn to fashion to regulate their mood or manage stress. Thus, wearing a new outfit or buying a new accessory can temporarily boost our self-confidence and improve our mood.
Overall, psychological factors such as self-expression, persuasive marketing, mood regulation and more can have a significant impact on what we buy in terms of fashion and how we engage with the fashion industry.
Understanding the psychological factors that influence our buying behaviour is important in the context of sustainable fashion, as it can help brands develop more effective strategies to promote sustainable practices and engaging with consumers.
Though we may want to believe our values determine our purchasing decisions, the truth is…they aren't the only factors at play.
