• Peak season typically begins in August
• Dogs are especially vulnerable due to their behavior around water
• Quick treatment is crucial; there is no known antidote
• Look for bright green, blue-green, or red water; slimy plants; foam; or unusual odors
Stay safe by:
✅ Checking for advisories
