Three Technion researchers have been awarded prestigious ERC Proof of Concept (ERCPoC) grants from the European Research Council, supporting the journey from groundbreaking research to real-world innovation.

Congratulations to:
🔹 Prof. Moran Bercovici, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, for developing a rapid, automated technology for producing customized progressive eyeglass lenses.

🔹 Prof. Graham de Ruiter, Schulich Faculty of Chemistry, for advancing sustainable iron-based catalysts that could replace costly palladium in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

🔹 Prof. Michael Krueger, Faculty of Physics and the Solid State Institute, for creating a new semiconductor diagnostic platform that enables real-time observation of nanoscale electronic processes in operating chips.

ERC Proof of Concept grants are awarded exclusively to researchers who have previously received ERC funding, helping transform frontier research into practical applications, commercial technologies, and future startup companies.
