Victory, Roman Fishman

The painted plate "Victory", which unflatteringly depicts the goddess of victory Nike with a crutch and a disfigured head, accidentally fell and broke. The surviving parts of the plate were collected and glued. The seams were covered with gold, as in kintsugi. Kintsugi is a Japanese tradition of restoring dishes, where the gluing of broken edges is not masked, but on the contrary, highlighted with gold. The already mercilessly harsh image of Victory has additionally acquired new features.
