Remember those days when everything in hardware shops came in small brown boxes, or paper bags? Here’s a remnant of that time, ten boxes of lovely cast brass letters and numbers, most 3/4 inch ( 3cm ) high, all nicely modelled sans serif uppercase with deep bevelled edges. Each box contains approx 150 pieces, multiple of each letter and numbers 0 - 9. One box dated 1956, so probably the rest are similar, one box contains only 1/2 inch letters. Available per box.

A great looking large antique brass door knocker in the form of a foo dog, nice mellow colour and patina, you’ld certainly hear this knocking!

A lovely late C19th ebonised pine storage box with a spray of flowers painted to the lid, and wonderful original floral patterned paper in the interior. The box is on a set of four ball castors, probably original to it, and has replacement handles and front catch.

SOLD A beautiful C19th spongeware mug, with a single motif of flowers in red and green around the rim ( although the leaves look somewhat like shamrocks ! ), nice shaped base and handle. One small chip on the handle and slight yellowing internally, otherwise excellent condition. C.1860
