One of our favourite things at Crafty is watching our team bring beautiful projects to life! 🧶✨ Not only does it inspire us every day, but it also means we can share genuine experience, helpful tips and honest advice when you're choosing yarns, tackling new patterns or adding those all-important finishing touches.

This week we're shining the spotlight on Jess and her absolutely gorgeous Personalised Post & Bobble Baby Blanket. 💕🍼

Jess first discovered this pattern while helping a customer work through some of the stitches... and completely fell in love with it herself! Since then, it's become one of her favourite baby gifts to crochet for those extra-special little arrivals. ❤️

The clever design features stunning textured sections created with front post stitches, while adorable bobbles spell out your chosen name, making every blanket truly one of a kind. The beautifully finished border gives it a crisp, square frame and such a professional finish.

🧶 Suitable for most yarn weights
🧶 Jess used King Cole Cherished DK, which gave a beautifully soft finish
🧶 The longest name that fits is 8 characters

Jess does have one very important tip for anyone thinking of giving it a go...

💡 Take your time with the first row! She says it's by far the most important part of the whole blanket. Once you've mastered that first row, the rest flows beautifully.

While Jess absolutely loved making this blanket, she wouldn't recommend it for complete beginners. It's best suited to intermediate crocheters who are ready for a fun, rewarding project with plenty of texture and techniques to keep things interesting.

We think it's the kind of handmade gift that will be treasured for years to come. 💗
